Abudant alkali exist in Erdos plateau of Inner Mongolia.A new tendency is to culitivate Spirulina by utilizing mineral matter of the alkali lakes in recent years.Waste Water of the Spirulina Farms which were built beside the alkali lake was discharged into alkali lake to reduce the farming cost.to make the salt and pollutant concentration increase and destroy the original water ecological balance and affect the aquatic plant community structure.Sampling analysis was carried out in different months on the Hamatai Lake affected by the Spirulina farming wastewater and the unaffected Chahannaoer Lake to evaluate the influence of wastewater on the phytoplankton community structure in alkaline lakes.A total of 16 species were identified in Hamatai Lake,including Bacillariophyte,Cyanophyta,Chlorophyta,Euglenophyta and Pyrrhophyta,accounted for 31.25%,37.5%,18.75%,6.25%,6.25%respectively,while a total of 11 species were identified in the Chahannaoer Lake belonging to the above 5 Phylum accounted for 25%,25%,33.33%,8.33%,8.33 respectively,The characteristics of spatial and temporal distribution on the biomass and abundance of the phytoplankton in above two lakes are different.Firstly,the biomass of both lakes was highest in April and the abundance values were highest in August and the lowest biomass and abundance in October.Secondly,there is the highest average biomass in H-1,and the highest average abundance in H-2 and the lowest biomass and abundance in C-2.Two dominant species were identified in Hamatai Lake which are Chlamydomonas of Chlorophyta and Spirulina of Cyanophyta,while four dominant species including Chlamydomonas and Cosmarium of Chlorophyta and Spirulina of Cyanophyta and Synedra of Bacillariophyte in Chahannaoer Lake.Phytoplankton community diversity indexes in different times and sampling points were remarkable in two lakes.The Shannon-Wiener diversity index is between 0.207 and 1.594 in Hamatai Lake,while between 0.0527 and1.379 in Chahannaoer Lake.The Pielo uniformity index is between 0.0892and 0.811 in Hamatai Lake,while between 0.0333 and 1.0 in Chahannaoer Lake.The abundance of phytoplankton in H-2 was positively correlated with total phosphorus?p<0.05?,and the biomass of phytoplankton in C-2 was positively correlated with Na2CO3 and NaHCO3?p<0.05?.
