| With the improvement of aesthetic level, people pay more attention to the visual effect of maps.It is of great practical significance to study the map language, which is an important element affecting the visual effect of maps. This paper, from the perspective of visual map language design, aims at improving the effect of map display and drawing efficiency, and discusses the design principles and methods of map language, and gives some practical design proposals for the needs of most users. The main contents of the paper are as follows.First, the theoretical system of map language design is discussed.Map language can be roughly divided into three parts:map color, map symbol and map annotation. In the aspect of map color, the color basic theory is reviewed first, then the design principle of map color is analyzed and summarized, and then the color matching scheme used by many common or excellent maps is analyzed by Delphy Fa,and five kinds of colors with distinctive style are summed up:"light type"and "fresh type" ","bright:," elegant "and" classical ".In terms of map symbols, the design principles of map symbols are discussed based on the theory of symbol features, classification and visual variables. In the aspect of map annotation,by analyzing the role of map annotation, the map annotation is classified, and the design principles of map annotation are clarified.Secondly, according to the established design principles,we have carried out the design of map language.Map color map design is based on in-depth analysis of specific type map products. In addition to the above five types of design, the design scheme also adds a "contrast" type of color which is more practical and widely used.In the design of a color map,the color values of the map products are extracted first, and then the characteristics and rules of these color values are analyzed and summarized. On the basis of this,a color map can be designed to meet the requirements of general cartography. The types of map symbols are very rich and varied.By analyzing the probability of the appearance of symbols in multiple map works, the paper selects the three most frequent symbols, such as the symbol of administrative division point, the city point symbol, the common line symbol, and the three symbols. The design of the body.In order to ensure that the design scheme of map notation can include the common notation types as much as possible,it has certain practical value.By analyzing the probability of the occurrence of note types in multi map works, five kinds of common types of notes in map are selected, and the common maps are formed on the basis of map notation setting principle.Note the design scheme. Finally,a concrete example is used to evaluate the design scheme. When making the evaluation map,the design scheme is first applied to the specific map situation to form various kinds of investigation maps, and then the maps are made into questionnaire to evaluate the design effect. In view of the fuzziness of the evaluation of map language,it is difficult to measure quantitative and accurate, and the types of map language involved in the map are less. The weight of specific evaluation indexes is given by the method of expert investigation weight. In the issue of questionnaire,it is divided into four categories, map cartography, art professional background personnel, geographical background personnel and other personnel,to ensure the rationality of the respondents.A total of 189 valid questionnaires were collected from the survey.Through calculation and analysis,it was found that the design effect of map language is good and has certain practical value. With the corresponding options,we can achieve a good visual effect by selecting the design scheme provided in this paper.Because of the many options in the plan and the simple and convenient way to choose the plan,it can improve the efficiency of drawing work. The study shows that it can not only meet the requirements of general cartography, but also replace the work of some map design, and can improve the efficiency of drawing in the premise of ensuring visual effect. |
