As the most basic component in the engineering structure,rods are widely used in aerospace,automotive,construction facilities,machinery and other fields.However,there are still some differences of the mechanical behavior between rods impacted by rigid bodies and other dynamic loads.At the same time,the characteristics of materials and research methods also lead to differences in the results.Based on this,this paper studies the dynamic buckling of rod impacted by a rigid body.The research includes the following aspects:1.The research status and research methods of the dynamic buckling of rods are reviewed at home and abroad.2.Considering the stress wave effect,the dynamic buckling control equation and the constraint conditions at the wave-front of elastic bar impacted by a rigid body with axial inertia,shear deformation and rotational inertia are derived according to the Hamilton principle.The governing equations are resolved by the difference method.The buckling waveforms of the elastic rods under different impact speed,impact mass and inertia radius are obtained.The influence of the impact speed,the impact mass and inertia radius and etc on the dynamic buckling of the elastic rods before and after stress wave reflection are studied.3.Considering the stress wave effect,the dynamic buckling control equation and the constraint conditions at the wave-front of elastic-plastic bar impacted by a rigid body with axial inertia,shear deformation and rotational inertia are derived according to the Hamilton principle.The governing equations are resolved by the difference method.The buckling waveforms of the elastic-plastic rods under different impact speed,impact mass and inertia radius are obtained.The influence of the impact speed,the impact mass and inertia radius and etc on the dynamic buckling of the elastic rods before the reflection of the elastic wave,after the reflection of elastic wave but does not meet the plastic wave and elastic wave and plastic wave meet are studied.The result are compared with the others obtained with the elastic rod.
