Microbial fuel cell is a kind of new bioreactor which can not only treat the domestic wastewater but also generate electricity.This experimental development on energy and the environment is a vital reforms.For the sewage treatment it can significantly reduce operating costs.Today the energy crisis and environmental pollution is serious,MFC is very concerned by as a new energy resource.The experiment used a single chamber air cathode microbial fuel cell.The single-chamber microbial fuel cell is inoculated of the sludge of the lab run synchronously double mud biofilm nitrification and denitrification and phosphorus removal device.Seed sludge of the anode is from the anaerobic tank and the microbial fuel cell anolyte is experimental sewage.It can both research the system of sewage treatment and electricity production results.I use a dual-chamber microbial fuel cell.The dual-chamber microbial fuel cell is inoculated of the sludge of the lab run synchronously double mud biofilm nitrification and denitrification and phosphorus removal device.Seed sludge of the anode is from the anaerobic tank and the cathode's is from the anoxic tank. It can both research the system of sewage treatment and electricity production results.Experimental results show that the carbon felt as the microbial fuel cell anode material, graphite plate as cathode materials in the air as the cathode electron acceptor single-chamber microbial fuel cell actual sewage treatment,microbial fuel cells can successfully stabilized. Single-chamber microbial fuel cell is connected of different external resistor,when the external resistance is 1000Q,MFC output power up to 31.5mW·m-3,when the external resistance is 1000?, the microbial fuel cell anode has the best effect,the removal of COD is 82.1%.Since inoculated with mixed cultures sludge,so the anode chamber has a certain effect on ammonia treatment,but the size of the external resistor microbial fuel cell anode has little effect on the ammonia removal. Single-chamber microbial fuel cell anode area is not the same size,when the anode area is 64cm2, the microbial fuel cell,the maximum of the average output voltage and maximum power density are 0.45V and 41.4mW·m-3,when microbial fuel cell anode region an area of 64cm2,the highest COD removal efficiency of microbial fuel cell anode was 84.83%. When the dosing KC1 electrolyte concentration of the microbial fuel cell anode chamber is 80mmol·L-1,the microbial fuel cell,the maximum of the average output voltage and maximum power density is 0.55V and 51.4mW·m-3 respectively,and COD removal rate of anode was 80.83%.The carbon felt as the microbial fuel cell anode and cathode materials, with nitrate as an electron acceptor of cathode, two-chamber microbial fuel cell treated domestic wastewater can successfully stable operation. When the nitrate concentration was 160mg·L-1,MFC's producing electricity is best,the average output voltage and maximum power density are 0.28V and 35.39mW·m-3.When concentration of nitrate in the cathode is 160mg·L-1,the anode decomposition of organic matter increased,COD removal efficiency best removal rate was 93.22%.With the changes in the concentration of nitrate cathode and anode ammonia removal rates were 20.58%,21.05%,20.98%,20.62%, 19.96%,20.23%,the change is small,so the cathode has little effect to the anode mass concentration of nitrate nitrogen removal. When dosing with different concentrations of organic matter,due to a non-electrode denitrification,so the microbial fuel cell cathode Nitrate concentration decreases, when the C/N increased to 3,the accumulation concentration of nitrite closed to zero.Without adding organic matter,MFC average output voltage and the maximum power density are 0.28V and 35.39mW·m-3,when adding organic matter,MFC average output voltage and the maximum power density are 0.22V and 28.3mW·m-3,due to a large number of nitrate non-electrode denitrification occurred in cathode,so the effect of producing electricity is bad when compared to cathode without organic matter.The treatment effect of Anodic is ineffective compared to which without organic.When the external resistance is 1000?,the microbial fuel cell electricity production is best,the average output voltage and maximum power density are 0.19V and 20.6mW·m-3.At this time,since the effect of producing electricity is best, so the treatment effect of MFC is also best.The microbial fuel cell anode and cathode electrode spacing is not the same,when microbial fuel cell electrode spacing is 10cm,the average output voltage and the maximum power density are 0.22V and 29mW·m-3When the one-chamber MFC,the maximum of the average output voltage and maximum power density is the best,the external resistance is 1000?, anode region an area of 64cm2,dosing KCl electrolyte concentration of the microbial fuel cell anode chamber is 80mmol·L-1,the one-chamber MFC,the maximum of the average output voltage and maximum power density are the 0.55V and 31.5mW·m-3.When the two-chamber MFC, the maximum of the average output voltage and maximum power density is the best, the maximum of the average output voltage and maximum power density is the best,the external resistance is 1000?,anode region an area of 64cm,dosing KCl electrolyte concentration of the microbial fuel cell anode chamber is 80mmol·L-1,When the nitrate concentration was 160mg·L-1,the C/N increased to 3,the external resistance is 1000?,electrode spacing is 10cm,reverse hydrogen nitrate is the best,COD removal efficiency best removal rate was 80%. So the MFC is the best for dispose of water.
