| With the hot-dipped galvanized steel sheets are widely used on auto vehicle body for its best anti-corrosion, and the new equipment combine servo-motor driven weld gun and inverter power with robot are widely used in hot-dipped galvanized steel sheet resistance spot welding production, it is much important for improving the company’s production quality, efficiency and competitiveness to research the hot-dipped galvanized steel sheet’s resistance spot welding technology in robot workstation. Based on company’s production practice, the SIV21’s current and weld gun’s pressure were tested in MOTOMAN-ES165 D robot workstation, the relation ship of tip dressing amount and tip dressing parameters was researched by uniform experiment design, and also the relation ship of resistance spot welding parameters and hot-dipped galvanized steel sheet nugget size was research by uniform experiment design. At the end an important part of auto vehicle resistance spot welding technology was optimized in robot workstation. The main conclusion as follows:1.Tip dressing amount is increased with tip dressing time prolonging, welding gun touching speeding and gun pressure enlarging in the robot workstation. The law of tip dressing can express as equation as follows.Y=-0.3187+0.005575X1+0.0001618X2+0.0469X3 Where Y is the amount of tip dress, X1 is the speed of welding gun, X2 is the pressure, X3 is time. The best parameters of tip dressing is pressure 1500 N, time 2sed,speed 5%, and the amount of tip dressing is 0.05 mm, consider the economy and production.2.The current2 is significant for conforming nugget and the current1 is useful for galvanize melting in resistance spot welding of inverter power. Adjust current2 for enlarging nugget size is most noticeable in practice.
