Microwave detection technology is widely used in tobacco industry. The traditional pneumatic detection technology is sensitive to the environment, the image detection technology is not good on the aspect of real-time and the optical image detection technology is limited to the filter rod material. Microwave detection has many advantages, such as fast detection, accurate measurements, high reliability and so on, it is suitable for density detection of a variety of composite filter rod and humidity detection of cigarette. This topic mainly studies the microwave composite filter rod density detection technology, design and realization of quality inspection and control system of composite filter rod based on TMS320F2812, tests prove that the designed system is suitable for widely applied unit of various models of composite filter rod, through Microwave detecting the density composite filter rod, has realized the composite filter rod splicing gap, filter rod displacement and phase shift defects of online real-time detection and accurate to eliminate defective products functions.First, studies several typical system solutions, contrast and analysis these solutions according to the practical application requirements put forward using DSP with internal A/D solution. Respectively analyzes the system composition, workflow of the system modules and the principle of microwave detection system. Then, describes in detail the proposed density data acquisition and processing system of composite filter rod based on TMS320F2812 design and realization process, including data acquisition, data processing, data communication modules, etc. This system adopts double buffer to deal with density data acquisition and transmission, effectively improve the ability of parallel processing of the data. In addition, the problems of how to improve the accuracy of density data acquisition and real-time performance are studied and discussed in this topic. Data processing strategy Using filtering algorithm is proposed, which improved the precision of data, and eliminated signal's influence on the microwave signal from external interference effectively; In real time response, the system adopts 40960 HZ sampling frequency, sampling resolution of 0.098 mm, A/D module adopts 16 channels of data acquisition, system with the method of assembly line for signal processing at the same time, makes the acquisition and processing speed greatly increased.The designed system was tested, we can see that, when the speed of composite filter rod reached 240m/min, this system has realized the composite filter rod splicing gap, filter rod displacement and phase shift defects of online real-time detection and eliminate defective products functions, and the system performance is stable.
