To reduce the overall investment, cut the costs and make the most of the coal recovery rate and the economic benefit, it is very neccisaty to study the coordination mining technology for coal underlying the slopes between two adjacent surface mines. With Heidaigou Surface Coal Mine and Haerwusu Surface Coal Mine attached to Shenhua Group Zhungeer Energy CO., LTD as the engineering background, several critical technical problems were studied in this paper. On the basis of the mining status and mining and stripping relationship and plan being analyzed, the minimum total cost method, differential method and multi-scheme comparison method were used to determine the inner dump burying height of the northern end slope in Haerwusu Surface Coal Mine. The defination and factors of the least tracking mining distance between two surface mines were cleared, the tracking mining distance was calculated based on the components analyses, and then the appropriate readjustment plan was put forward for each year. Stripping volume distribution of the two mines were projected based on the dump capacity analyses, then the related technical and economic indicators were calculated. The research results can provide guidance for the development mining and tripping engineering of Heidaigou Surface Coal Mine and Haerwusu Surface Coal Mine and provide reference for the coordination mining technology for coal underlying the slopes between two adjacent surface mines in other mining areas.
