A Study On The Influencing Of Public Pressure And Carbon Information Disclosure

With the rapid development of social economy,the contradiction between the natural environment and the economy is becoming more and more serious,our society is in an important transition period.Faced with the increasingly serious environmental problems,people pay more and more attention to the greenhouse gas emission.Enterprises as the main body of greenhouse gas emissions,its economic development and the environment has a close relationship,especially heavy pollution industry.In this paper,2012-2014 16 heavy polluting industries 407 listing Corporation as the research object,using content analysis method to study the level of carbon information disclosure of sample firms,and empirical analysis on the relationship between public pressure and the level of corporate carbon information disclosure.The study found :(1)the carbon information disclosure of listed companies of heavy pollution industry in China with low overall level,in 2012-2014 years there is an upward trend,The contents and methods of carbon information disclosure lack of uniform standards,the content of the disclosure is relatively free.(2)Enterprises are facing the pressure of government,The level of influence and proportional relationship,show that the nature of the controlling shareholder of enterprise carbon disclosure,state-owned enterprises and non state-owned holding enterprise carbon disclosure level is higher.The impact of government regulation and corporate carbon information disclosure is not obvious,that the government regulation on corporate carbon disclosure does not play a supervisory role.(3)enterprises are facing pressure from shareholders and top ten shareholders of shareholding and carbon to the enterprise information disclosure have a significant impact,the higher proportion of top ten shareholders holding and carbon enterprise information disclosure level is high;proportion of institutional ownership and carbon information disclosure level has no significant relationship,indicating that the institutional investors carbon to the enterprise information disclosure level did not play a supervisory role in promoting.(4)Enterprises face the pressure of creditors,the proportion of corporate bank loans to a certain extent,the impact on corporate carbon information disclosure,the higher the proportion of corporate bank loans,the higher the levelof carbon information disclosure.(5)In the social pressure of enterprises,the media attention has a significant impact on corporate carbon information disclosure,the higher the media attention,the higher the level of corporate carbon information disclosure.Finally,according to the research results,the company put forward the corresponding improvement measures and suggestions to improve the level of corporate carbon information disclosure.
