Titanium alloy is widely used in aerospace,medical,chemically and other industries with its excellent heat resistance,corrosion resistance,and excellent mechanical properties,which has broad application prospects and research space.However,because of the poor machinability of titanium alloy,it will appear high cutting temperature,serious tool wear phenomenon in the process of cutting,which is belong to difficult cutting materials.As a precious metal,excessive tool wear seriously hampered the improving of its cutting efficiency.The cutting force is a very important physical quantities in the cutting process,it has an influence on cutting temperature and tool wear.The research of cutting force analysis is necessary for tool wear and improving the efficiency of processing.In this paper,we research the cutting force prediction model of Ti6Al4 V titanium alloy.The main contents are as follows:Firstly,titanium alloy cutting simulation model is established with ABAQUS software according to finite element analysis method.The main cutting force of simulation model was verified through the main cutting force measured by the Kistler9257 B 3-axis dynamometer.Secondly,titanium alloy cutting parameterized simulation model is established based on the python language and he secondary development of ABAQUS.The parameterized model can not only improve the accuracy of modeling,but also save a lot of repetition modeling time.Then we design the single factor experiment of feed,cutting speed and tool rake angle,to explore their influence on the main cutting force.Thirdly,the BP neural network prediction model of main cutting force is established based on all factors test data.We take design of neural network internal parameters,then,we train and test the neural network model.Finally,the main cutting force formula model of titanium alloy was established based on response surface method.The datas show that the formula model can be used to predict the main cutting force.For the same cutting parameters,main cutting force prediction results can be obtained by the formula model and the BP neural network model.The two prediction results were compared with the main cutting force obtained by cutting simulation model.The results show that the prediction accuracy of BP neural network prediction model is better than the formula model.
