Due to its close-packed hexagonal (HCP) structure, Mg alloys show low capability of deformation at room temperature. Meanwhile, during the following forming process the magnesium alloy sheet is inclined to produce a strong basal texture,and this basal texture is extremely unfavorable to the subsequent the following rolling process.Therefore, the development of new plastic deformation processing is used to control and weaken the strong basal texture.It has significant meaning on the research of magnesium.Article by casting, extrusion, and a method of manufacturing a hot rolled thickness of 1.0?2.0mm in the Mg-Gd-Y plate. It can significantly increases the strength of Mg-Gd-Y plate by pre-deformation and aging treatment. It can weakened to Mg-Gd-Y adverse plastic base plate texture strength and hardness by rolling and annealing control process.Using X-ray diffraction technique analyzed Mg-Gd-Y during the preparation of the plate texture evolution.In different pre-deformation, Mg-Gd-Y deformation texture and annealed texture are mainly (01 1 7)[0 7 72]?(01 1 7)[07 7 2]?(11 2 12)[2 2 41]? (112 12)[22 4 1].The angel between{11 212}and basal texture is small.It have a great influence on plastic.Above all,the variation is similar of deformation texture and annealed texture by the deformation is increasing.The change of (0117) texture is not obvious,and the (112 12) texture increase firstly then decrease.It reache the low peak when the deformation is 15%.Rolling path for Mg-Gd-Y sheet rolling and annealing and textures were significantly affected. Under 673K last pass asynchronous rolling significantly refined grains, and the next 673K last pass asynchronous rolling and rolling under 773K fully synchronous deformation and annealing (1112) texture were the lowest intensity texture that improve rolling temperature and last pass asynchronous rolling are conducive to optimizing the deformation and annealing Mg-Gd-Y thin texture.
