Rock hardness is one of the important parameters in mine construction and production. It plays an important role in choosing mining technology, unit type and blasting design. Use DTH rigs drilling parameters to predict rock hardness. The distribution of rock hardness along the axial direction of blast holes guides the amount of explosives consumption, interval and position, improves blasting effects, lowers production costs and enriches mining geology information. It is meaningful for developing intelligent drilling and digital and intelligent mining.By analyzing the structure and working-way of KQG150Y DTH rigs to make out the closely related drilling parameters. Through the designed drilling parameters acquisition system to collect the sample data in Darning limestone Mine, use least square method, step-wise regression and Back Propagation (BP) neural network model to analyze the data and establish five models, analyze and compare the fitting result and predictive ability. The results prove that there is high goodness of fit and lower predictive taking impact frequency as the independent variable. BP neural network model taking rotary torque and drilling speed as the independent variable, is with good generalization ability, meets the desired requirements.BP neural network approach enables fast and accurate hardness rock prediction, it provides basic data for Damingshan limestone mine blasting design, and reference for the open pit mining of rock hardness prediction.
