Squirrel-cage Dan furnace is a kind of heat transfer device,which purpose is to smelt and restore the pastel into Hong Dan and Huang Dan.With the constant improvement of research methods,the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)methods are most commonly used to study heat transfer performance of the devices.The object of study Three Layers Squrrel—Cage Dan Furnace,It is used in a plant of recycling lead-acid battery.Analysis of flow field and optimal design,improve its overall performance and achieve the objective of reducing energy consumption to adapt production,This has important practical value for the secondary lead industry.First,this article introduces the basic way and equations of heat transfer,equations of fluid flow,methods of numerical simulation,basic solving process of using CFD to solve flow field problem.Then,establish and mesh calculation model of the furnace,at the same time to set boundary conditions and solving way.Second,analyzed shell side flow and characteristics of overall heat transfer,and comparisons between simulation results and experiment results,get results are that the maximum error of shell pressure drop is 13.2%,the maximum error of the total heat transfer is 11.9%,and the error value is in the range of reasonable,Verify model building and solving are reliability.Finally,taking the same modeling and solving method,analysing separately spiral Angle of baffle plate and the diameter of tube side in the system of Dan furnace,first of all,in the case of changing spiral Angle,analysis impact of the spiral Angle of the baffle plate on Dan furnace heat transfer performance,then fix spiral Angle,change the diameter of tube side,analysing variation of tube diameter impact on shell side pressure change.in the numerical simulation,when the spiral Angle is 20 ° Dan furnace has a better comprehensive performance,when the spiral Angle is fixed at 20 °,when the tube diameter is 500 mm,the Dan furnace has a better comprehensive performance,it can provide theoretical reference basis for the further research of three-tier system of cage Dan furnace.
