The bioleaching of vanadium from a high sulphur-containing stone coal was studied by using Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans under the conditions of pulp density 3%, pH 2.0, leaching temperature 30? and rotation speed 150 r/min. In order to improve the vanadium leaching efficiency, the augmentation experiment included five parts, ARTP mutagenesis, augmentation domestication, mechanical activation, microwave roasting and controlling the redox potential of leaching system. The parameters such as pH, Eh, concentration of Fe+ and leaching efficiency were tested in the leaching process. The results showed that:Pretreating the stone coal by mechanical activation, the highest leaching efficie-ncy were 73.7%. This paper analysed the sizes and structures of the stone coal using a variety of techniques, such as laser particle size analyzer and specific surface area analyzers, the results showed that:The specific surface area increased, while the parti-cle size dicreased.Pretreating the stone coal by microwave roasting,the highest leaching efficiency were 71.87%. The Atmospheric and Room Temperature Plasma was beneficial to the leaching of vanadium. Augmentation domesticated the Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans, the results showed that:the highest leaching efficiency was 83.5%. It's beneficial to the leaching of vanadium Augmentation.Controlling the redox potential of leaching system, the results showed that:the highest leaching efficie-ncy was 63.9%. Controlling the redox potential of leaching system had no significant effect of vanadium leaching effect.
