This paper was mainly used the waste produced by ethylene glycol production process from coal as the raw material, recovery of the mixture of light components and diols with high boiling point. And the mixture of diols was used for the synthesis of polyester polyol with high added value, prepared in accordance with polymer polyurethane foam applications.The production method of ethylene glycol production process from coal in our country had successfully achieved industrialization, but the production process would produce a lot of waste, including organic as high as 50%. High content of methanol, ethanol and other alcohols were included in the waste. In this study, through the determination of distillation, I determined the separation and recovery scheme about the waste of ethylene glycol from coal. I used the mixture of diols for the production of polyester polyol successfully. Through further study on relative content of mixed dibasic alcohol diols' influence on polyester polyol, and the effect of impurities entrained in the diols such as: methyl glycollate, dimethyl oxalate, diethyl oxalate to the appearance color and quality of polyester polyol products, we ultimately determine the mixed product quality index of recycled diols and optimized the waste recovery process conditions.The experiment used the mixture of diols as raw materials for synthesized of polyester polyol with adpipc acid. By means of aingle factor experiment, I optimized the best process for the synthesis of polyester polyol through inspected the reaction temperature, reaction time, pressure, heating mode and so on.The experiment used the polyester polyol and isocyanate as raw materials, further synthesized of soft polyurethane foam. And I analyzed the influence of catalyst, foaming agent, foaming temperature on the reaction. Finally, I summarized the production formula of synthesis of polyurethane foam for the system.
