As an emerging study field, the wettability of solid surfaces has been developed for decades.Such topic which has shown significant research value impacts almost every field of science and technology. In the past decade, biomimetic surfaces with some extreme state of wettability, such as superhydrophobicity, superhydrophilicity superamphiphobicity, have been explored deeply.Among those states, superhydrophobic surfaces play an important role in both fundamental researches and practical application,on account of the following unique and excellent properties:anti-icing,drag reduction,anti-bacteria,transparence,water-collecting,oil/water separeation,anti-corrosion and so on.Oil spill and excess emissions of industrial waste oil seriously contaminate the natural environment, and has become the most urgent environmental problems under the tide of global industrialization. The extremely low separation efficiency, poor selectivity and cyclic utilization in the actual application of traditional materials undoubtly inhibits the development of oil/water mixture separation.Several novel superhydrophobic adsorbent, like sponges, activated carbon material, superhydrophobic graphene and kinds of mesh materials can be a good candidate to overcome aforementioned shortcomings. As another ubiquitous problem both in industry and daily life, the corrosion of various metal material is the key to determine equipment service life.On account of the reasons referred to above, this thesis includes the following aspects:(1)The preparation of superhydrophobic surfaces on various substrates including mesh, sponge, filter paper and fabric with simple coating of PPy by in situ polymerization and subsequent modification is accomplished. This sort of PPy coated films comprising nano-scale rough coatings and micro-structured porous substrates can separate oil/water mixtures under the force of gravity alone. Moreover, such superhydrophobic PPy films on the surfaces of metal meshes can bring about superb corrosion resistance, which prolongs the service life of equipment.(2)How to fabricate superhydrophobic ZnO materials with a time-saving,low cost and simple method remains a longstanding challenge. In this contribution,we fabricated a superhydrophoboc ZnO nanorods film on zinc foil by thermal oxidation with a subsequent surface modification process.Such method represents an example of simplicity and practicality. In addition, the superhydrophobicity on ZnO nanorods film could effectively enhance the corrosion resistance.(3)A superhydrophobic copper sulfide(Cu9S5)film was fabricated via a solution-phase growth method on Cu foil and Cu mesh. The reason for choosing such method is because it needs neither damage to the substrate nor previous coating precursors. The resulting film shows good adhesion to the Cu substrate. It is also found that the film shows good corrosion resistance and chemical stability.
