| Inorganic floating materials of type of artificial floating island are kinds of environmental protection materials, and we choose proper foam glass materials as kind of inorganic floating materials to research. The foam glass material with a low density and high compressive strength is the new environmental materials in the construction industry, which has a huge market with big potential and wide prospect. The effects of different foaming agents, additives, sintering temperature, the granularity of some raw materials and the mixture powder on pore structure and property of foam glass have been investigated.This study researched the effects of foaming temperature, the date obtained showed that the best foaming temperature was 800oC when carbon as foaming agent.This research studied on the different foaming effects of carbon and calcium carbonate. Results showed that the property of foam glass with carbon a as foaming agent is preferred, the pore size was around 0.5 mm, the density was about 0.320 g/cm3 and compressive strength could reach 7.022 MPa.When the mass fractions of the additives Ca(NO3)2 and Ba(NO3)2 are 3.6% and 3.0%,respectively, the density and compressive strength of the foam glasses reached their peaks.When the mass of CaSO4 and CaCO3 is increasing gradually, the density and compressive strength is declining.Na2HPO4 is a good additive to stabilize the bubble. The pore structure of foam glass was complete and pore distribution was uniform when adding 10wt% Na2HPO4.In this experiment, mullite fibrous was added to enhance strength of foam glass materials. The density of sample was less than 0.5 g/cm3 and compressive strength was 5 MPa when adding 4wt%-6wt% mullite fiber in batch. |
