This thesis aimed to study the rainfall infiltration effect on the wet stacking tailings and the dam breaking influence. The thesis was based on a engineering background of the tailings in Sichuan province, and it used the combination of analog simulat ion method and numerical simulat ion to study the changing rules. First, using rainfall sand trough model to explore the change of mo isture content and pore pressure in the process and summarized that the dam damage has four stages as surface swamping- produce small transverse crack- slip plane moves-widespread damage,and at the same time the more precipitous the dam was the faster the moisture content and pore pressure changed. Besides, through the moisture vertical infiltration test, it got that infiltration depth became deeper as the rainfall intensit y changed bigger. Then, used the numerical experiment to explore the potential instabilit y of the tailings dam area and the law of dam risk and finally got that dam stabilit y changed lower and landslides' depth and length became bigger as the rainfall intensit y changed. In this way,it also found that the dam damage rule was from the toe of the dam body-dam slope- dam crest- dry beach, and it was similar to the laboratory test results. Finally, used the 1:200 outdoor tailings debris flow s imilarit y simulation experiment to complete the rainfall infiltration and damdestruction research, summarizing that the influence of the dam failure debris flow was closely relative to degree of dam risk, and the lower the roughness, the greater the influence.Through the above content research, completed rainfall infiltrat ion effect of the wet stack tailings in the process of rainfall infiltra t ion,and finish the research of the dam damage law and the influence of debris flow, getting the closed loop engineering applicat ion research, and it has a vital significance for engineering applicat ions.
