Chlorobenzenes is an important raw material medicine, pesticides, dyes, rubber chemicals, synthetic polymer materials additives in the environment has reached a level generally detected. 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene is an important chlorobenzenes(CBs) compound is stable in the natural environment, degradation rate, humans, animals and plants of great harm. Cadmium is a non-essential element in the growth and development of plants and animals, due to emissions of cadmium-related industrial waste, the use of cadmium-containing waste water for irrigation, fertilizer and other long-term use, making a lot of cadmium into the environment. In nature, the contaminants exist in the environment with others instead of alone, which caused the combined pollution has also become a focus of research. This research studies on impacts of compound pollution of 1,2,4-TCB and Cd to enzyme activity earthworm Main results of the research were presented as follows:(1)Results of single 1,2,4-TCB on the activity of antioxidant enzymes showed that : earthworms can induce the activities of antioxidant enzyme(SOD, CAT, POD)with the damage of 1,2,4-TCB to organism. The antioxidant enzyme showed the variation tendency that the enzymes were activated firstly, then were inhibited lately.(2)Results of single 1,2,4-TCB on MDA content showed that: 1,2,4-TCB induced the MDA content in earthworm during the experiment. With the increase of concentration of 1,2,4-TCB,MDA content increased more significiantly. At the 10mg/kg concentration of 1,2,4-TCB, the induction of MDA content reached the hightest degree.(3)Results of combined effect of 1,2,4-TCB and Cd on the activity of antioxidant enzymes showed that: the combined effect of 1,2,4-TCB and Cd and the single factor of Cd are produced oxidative stresson earthworms. the composite effect of Cd on earthworms can reduce oxidative stress ability, reduce the degree of positive correlation between the concentration of 1,2,4-TCB in the pre-exposure, post-exposure and the concentration of negative correlation. The combined effect of 1,2,4-TCB and Cd on the activity of SOD, POD, CAT after early exposure time showed antagonistic effect, at the post-exposure time showed synergistic effect.(4)Results of combined effect of 1,2,4-TCB and Cd on MDA content showed that: 1,2,4-TCB and Cd combined action with significantly lower MDA content under Cd single factors earthworm, is less than 50mg/kg concentrations of the combined effect of 1,2,4-TCB and Cd of lipid peroxidation damage earthworms dye poison time is the deciding factor, greater than 100mg/kg concentrations of the combined effect of 1,2,4-TCB and Cd action with the concentration of 1,2,4-TCB is lipid peroxidation damage of the primary determining factor.
