At present, rare earth metal organic framework with compound has attracted the close attention of many researchers. Metal organic framework is not only a charming space structure, but also has been realized for their potential application in catalysis, drug delivery, molecular recognition, sensing, and also nonlinear optical. With the continuous development of social science and technology, people's material requirements are improved. With specific morphology and small size of metal organic framework materials, is much better than the solid phase of the application in some ways. As a result, it is necessary to strengthen the framework materials by preparing small size and special morphology.This paper adopted a series of simple methods to preparation of our group's material [Ce?BTPCA??H2O?2]DMF·3H2O, the framework is a three-dimensional structure that constituted by rare earth and organic ligands, with two kinds of channel from the C axis, and it's stability is very good, this framework has a lot of lewis base activity sites, so wan can consider them for adsorption of organic molecules.in view of our preparation condition, we prepared the framework material of different shape and different size, the size of the materials is about 300 nm-3 ?m, the morphology of the preparation is flake, acicular, rectangle and so on. Especially, using metal acetate as metal source is the best. At the same time, we also studied the different size and morphology of the framework material for adsorbing methylene blue. We found that the adsorption capacity of small size is more than the big size, the framework at 300 nm for the adsorption capacity of methylene blue is 178 mg/g, the adsorption capacity of flaky morphology is more than other morphology, the framework of flaky for the adsorption capacity of methylene blue is 176 mg/g. Therefore, the preparation of these materials for organic dye adsorption of methylene blue is great application prospect.
