Pincer complex are widely used in many fields, They contain the characteristics of both the C-M(M = metal) ? bond and donor-metal coordination. Recent years pincer complexes have attracted much attention. And most researches have been focused on the type of [N, C, N] pincer compounds, in addition, some type of [P, C, P] and [S, C, S] pincer compounds have also been documented.Metal complex is different from princer complex of no C-M ? bond,so it is easy to preparae. And it is a kind of fluorescence materials and catalytic propertiesThree kinds of symmetrical ligands derived from 5-tert-butylbenzen e-1,3-dicarbaldehyde and acenaphthenequinone, 1,8-diaminonaphthalene as well as o-phenylenediamine were synthesized. Their palladium complexes were also obtained by complexation of these ligands with tetrachloropalladated sodium. The catalytic activity of these palladium complexes in Suzuki coupling were also Assessed. The catalysts loading and the substituent effect as well as bulky effect on substrates were discussed.
