We studied the community structure of bacteria in sediment from seven sites(C0(28.6910°N, 121.447°E) ? C1(28.6850°, 121.487°E) ? C2(28.6756°N,121.559°E)?C3(28.6212°N,121.572°E)?C4(28.6650°N,121.622°E)?C5(28.6212°N,121.663°E) and C6(28.5789°N,121.6119°E))in Jiaojiang chemical industrial park adjacent area and phylogenesis in bacterial clone library by isolation, purification, and identification procedures. The results of API identification showed that Aeromonas salmonicida was the main species. Theresults of 16 S rDNA analysis showed that for cultured bacteria, Vibrio and Bacillus were the dominant species andFirmicutes and ?-Proteobacteria were the main groups; while non-cultured bacteria included mainly Proteobacteria, Acidobacteria, Chloroflexi, Chlorobi, Gemmatimonadetes, Nitrospira, CFB group, Actinobacteria, Firmicutes and Planctomycetes. Each site featured own bacterial clone. The clones of C0 site mainly belong to ?- Proteobacteriaand Chloroflexi, the clones of C1 site mostly attributed to ?- Proteobacteria and ?-Proteobacteria, the clones of C2 site are all most Actinobacteria and ?- Proteobacteria, the clones of C3 sitemainly belong to ?- Proteobacteria and?- Proteobacteria, the clones of C4 site mostly attributed to?- Proteobacteria andAcidobacteria, the clones of C5 site are all most?- Proteobacteria and?- Proteobacteria, and the clones of C6 site mainly belong to?- Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria. In overall, ?-Proteobacteriain was the dominant group in in sediment of Jiaojiang chemical industrial park adjacent area, and the similar sequences of many typical clones were probably derived fromenvironment pollution by petroleum hydrocarbon, aquaculture and heavy metals. We detected chemical factors in sediments following by National Standards(GB 17378). The results showed C1 was the most polluted site and the content of PCB, DDT and PAHs in this sediment were 1.78 ?g /kg, 5.09 ?g/kg and 204 ?g/kg.Using these data, we assessed the correlation between bacterial communities and organic contaminants using cluster, multidimensional scaling, and redundancy analyses. These showed that there was no simple relationship between organic contaminants and bacterial community diversity in the sediments, but polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons were more influential than the other pollutants and negatively affected Chloroflexi. The aim of this study was to investigate the bacterial diversity and community composition, the concentration of organic contaminants, and their relationship in the sediments of Jiaojiang estuary.
