The quality defects of the aluminum alloy casting is varied. Among the all of defects, shrinkage cavity is not easy to be observed and recognition. At that time, the frequency of shrinkage cavity defect is the hightest. It can cause serious quality accidents such as leak and fatigue fracture,too.Therefore, Shrinkage cavity's FMEAis taken consider as high risk project.Based on the theory of metal die-casting molding filling and aluminum alloy solidification theory, I design and manufacture the die casting mold of automotive engine cylinder head cover and control the shrinkage cavity defects.In this mold,I mainly analysis the gating system and overflow system.Further in this paper for the die casting mould design of the cylinder head cover,by adopt ting the moden CAE technology,and orthogonal experiment method,; optimize the die-casting mold process parameters,reduce the happening of the shrinkage cavity defects.Aimed at the shrinkage cavity defects produced by local hot section of cylinder head cover products parts,I applied the local extrusion technoloty resonably and contrled the extrusion pressure,volume and time.Through the experiment of aluminum alloy die-casting products of cylinder head cover,it proved the reasonable of die design and die-casting molding process parameters correctly.At the same time,the loval extrusion technology can solve products section local thermal shrinkage cavity defects effctively.This topic is about the design and manufature of die casting aluminum alloy.It is reference for production practice to reduce the shrinkage cavity defects.
