Thickness accuracy is not only reflect the important index of board strip quality level, and measure the plate thickness of the strip and strip shape quality of important indicators. The thickness of the plate control of the control system of cold strip rolling is restricted by the key technology. The development of manufacturing, especially in the metallurgical industry, more thickness accuracy as the main measure factors. Therefore, research on the thickness of the rolling mill control is great realistic significance and application value. In this paper, some methods of the modern control theory applied to the thickness of this kind of mill control system, make the original control system more accurate. Considering the actual state of the system and cannot be directly measured, brought all d state observer is introduced into cold rolling mill hydraulic automatic gauge control(HAGC) system, the main research work is as follows:Firstly, the influencing factors of rolling strip steel thickness of swearing done detailed analysis research, find out the reason of the change of the sheet thickness, the thickness of mathematical model of control system are also studied, and conclude the main factors: the influence of thickness of rolled strip steel entrance, strip temperature, roll gap, rolling force and roll speed, etc.Secondly, this paper studys the main factors of the change of the thickness of plate strip based on the measured data at the seventh frame, through the principal component analysis(pca) to verify the effectiveness of the main factors influencing the thickness of the plate. Analysis are the main factors affecting the thickness of the plate including: roll gap, roll speed, rolling force, entry thickness. For cold strip rolling thickness control system has the characteristics of nonlinearity, uncertainty and time delay of sexual, and some system state variable cannot be directly measured, under the condition of the system need to design more effective and stable controller.Established in order to improve the thickness control system, will be based on the full dimension observer is introduced into control system, solved the delay phenomenon existing in the thickness control system and can reconstruct state. Combination of full state observer and lyapunov stability theory, a robust controller is designed, through the simulation test to verify the thickness control system with time delay and uncertainty of the stability and improve control accuracy, but also prove the effectiveness of the proposed research plan. Design thickness controller based on generalized support vector machine(SVM) observer, and compared with the traditional PID control simulation.In this paper, through research and practical production of strip steel production frame work, proposed corresponding method to improve controlling precision of thickness, to improve the quality of plate strip steel production has important practical significance.
