Bismuth glass is recognized as the best alternative of lead glass in low temperature sealing glass area, and is widely used in the electronics industry. But compared with the traditional lead glass, there is an obvious gap in stability and crystallization. In order to solve this situation, we took the B2O3-ZnO-Bi2O3 glass system as the research object in this topic, researched the influence regularity of the phase composition, softening temperature, thermal analysis, acid resistance, microstructure and mechanical properties by the change of ZnO, B2O3, Bi2O3 and ZrO2 content. The B2O3-ZnO-Bi2O3 glass after optimization is applied to the preparation of copper electrode materials. Then we discussed the influence on the properties of electrode materials by the change of addition amount of sealing glass powder. The main research results are as follows:(1) With the amount of ZnO increasing, glass structural changes little and there is no crystal in the glass sample. When the ZnO content is 10 wt%, transition temperature and softening temperature of the glass sample reaches a minimum value 432.3? and 474.2?, the thermal expansion coefficient reaches a maximum value 8.80×10-6 K-1, the bending strength also reaches a minimum value 42.16 MPa.(2) When B2O3 content changes, [BO3]?[BO4] the relative content also changes. When the B2O3 content is 14 wt%, transition temperature and softening temperature of the glass sample reaches a maximum value 456 ? and 500?, the thermal expansion coefficient reaches a minimum value 7.85×10-6 K-1, the bending strength also reaches a maximum value 61.60 MPa.(3) When the Bi2O3 content is less than 76 wt%, there is no crystal in the glass sample. As the Bi2O3Content is equal to or more than 76 wt%, a-Bi2O3 crystal can be found in the glass sample. When the Bi2O3 content is 73 wt%, softening temperature and transition temperature of the glass sample reaches a minimum value 428 ? and 466.7?, the bending strength also reaches a minimum value 41.00 MPa.(4) [BO3]?[BO4]?[BiO3]?[SiO4] and [ZrO4] groups are the main components of the sealing glass of Bi2O3-B2O3-ZnO. When the Z1O2 content is less than 4 wt%, there is no crystal in the glass sample. As the ZrO2 content is equal to or more than 4 wt%, ZrO2 crystal and a-Bi2O3 crystal can be found in the glass sample. When the ZrO2 content is 3 wt%, softening temperature and transition temperature of the glass sample reaches a maximum value 480? and 432?, the thermal expansion coefficient reaches a minimum value 8.22× 10-6 K-1, the bending strength also reaches a maximum value 47.00 MPa.(5) The B2O3-ZnO-Bi2O3 glass after optimization is applied to the preparation of copper electrode materials. When glass powder content is 6 wt%, comprehensive performance of of the copper film is the best.
