Foam ceramic is a new obturator and green energy-saving materials, has the advantages of light weight, heat insulation and non-combustion, it can be used for exterior walls and roofs. The coal mine solid waste is used to produce foam ceramics with high added value, which can achieve the goal of sustainable development.Using coal mine solid waste foam ceramics, the preparation of foam ceramics and thermal physical property research. Study the following conclusions:Utilization of mine solid wastes to produce foam ceramic,the preparation conditions should be selected for coal gangue: Shale: polishing residue: talc?50:22:13:15?, firing temperature is 1210°C, holding time is 10 min, an apparent preparation density is0.630.66g/cm3, a porosity is about 75%, water absorption less than 2%, the compressive strength is 9.59 12.44 Mpa.Using MgO-A12O3-SiO2 three element phase diagram for chemical composition analysis,Cordierite raw material chemical composition of MgO:A12O3:SiO2?5.6: 30.9: 60.1?.the increase of MgO can expand the range of firing cordierite. The increase of SiO2 can lead to the decrease of the plasticity of the body and the reduction of the compressive strength of the sintered specimen.Increasing the content of Al2O3 can lead to the increase of strength and sintering temperature of the ceramics. TiO2, Fe2O3 and P2O5 acts as a cosolvent to reduce the lattice transition temperature effect. Fe2O3 content increases, the ceramic color deepened. High content of CaO makesfired foam ceramic produced pyroxene.Solving foam ceramics insulation and heat transfer inverse problem, the thermal conductivity of the foam ceramics decreases with increasing temperature, with increasing moisture content increases. Firing temperature is 1210 °C, holding time of 10 min cordierite foam ceramics inside is filled with a uniform diameter distribution of less than 1mm closed pores, has a low thermal conductivity, reducing the influence of moisture content on the thermal properties of the foam ceramics, reduce the moisture content of the delivery and improve the insulation effect.
