The bisphenol A resin is widely used in the field of food packaging,Its application is limited because of its toxicity and poor physical properties.The process of catalytic hydrogenation of bisphenol A to hydrogenated bisphenol A is a effective way.It can reduces the toxicity and Enhance physical properties.Nano-Ru catalyst has high activity and good stability,It also has high activity to catalytic hydrogenation of Aromatic ring.The catalyst was prepared by a simple direct-adsorbed method for synthesizing a carrier-supported ruthenium catalyst(Ru/M)in propylene carbonate.The process of catalytic hydrogenation of bisphenol A to hydrogenated bisphenol A(HBPA)catalyzed by the Ru/C catalysts was studied.The characterizations of Ru/C catalyst was preformed by X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and specific surface area analysis(BET).Specific results are as follows:According to the results,It has best carrier catalytic activity when on the C carriers and hydrogen as the reducing agent.It has been characterized which was prepared by propylene carbonate and dipping.Results are as follows: Ruthenium mainly exists in the form of zero-valent which was prepared by propylene carbonate.The diameter of Ru nanoparticle is 3nm,and the distribution of Particle size is 2-4 nm.Ru nano-particles is a monolayer dispersion on the carrier and mainly distributed on the surface.Then studying the factors such as reaction temperature,pressure,solvent and catalyst loading on the reaction which used catalyst(Ru/M)prepared by propylene carbonate.According to the results,The bisphenol A was complete conversion with the seleetivity above 100% and the selectivity of hydrogenated bisphenol A above 97.9% Within 30 minutes.The catalytic activity was significantly higher than the commercial catalyst.It has a very broad prospects for industrial applications because of simple Preparation method and low cost.Comprehensive results of bisphenol A hydrogenation.We can conclude that the Ru/C catalysts was prepared by propylene carbonate has highly Catalytic Activity.This is because that the catalyst has a smaller particle size and the Ru nano-particles particle size distribution is extremely uniform.Secondly,the reaction speed quickly is due to that Ru nano-particles is a monolayer dispersion on the carrier.Third,ruthenium mainly exists in the form of zero-valent which is the main component of catalytic.It can improve the catalyst activity because of high valence Ru ions.
