Under the condition of serious water pollition and badly lack of water resource, the whole world pays a higher attention on drinking water and surface water. As a typical type of drinking water source, Dongjiang river, it is particularly important to conduct a series of water conservation and water quality control work. The pesticide class emerging polltants have a big potential hazard to human and animal health, ecological envirnment, while at present few reseraches on pesticide class energing contaminantin Dongjiang river basin of s are reported. This work was funded by the National Science and Technology Major Projects of Water Pollution Control and Management of China(2014ZX07206001), significant for the whole Dongjiang river water environment regulation.We selected a high-risk tributary, Gao Bu river, to analyze its current pollution status by pollution source investigation and water quality detection by using SPE-LC-MS.We focus on exploring t the pollution characteristics of atrazine, prometryn, such as e listed pesticide. We also established the the link between the traditional pollutants and emerging contaminants by statistic analysis. Finally, according to our mornitorning data, the risk of Gao Bu river based on the pollutant emissions was evaluated, and thus further provided a reference basis for ecological risk assessment of Dongjiang river.In this paper the main research conclusions are as follows:1. The concentration of nitrogen and phosphorus in Gao Bu river water were highly more than surface water ? class standard. There is a significant different for water quality in dry and rain season. The pollution of TN, TP, and COD is more serious in dry season than in rain season. The pollution is relatively more serious than COD. It is speculated that the contaminants are mainly from the rainwater runoff and domestic wastewater.2. In the study area Gao Bu river water bodies, 12 kinds of pollutants, including atrazine, caffeine, deet, b itch sinensis, isopropyl amine, pirimicarb, prometryn, simazine were detected, e listed their levels in grams per liter. The isopropyl lung and armor frost spirit were not detected. The detection concentration range of herbicide classes of pollutants, such as Atrazine, Isoproturon, metolachlor, prometryn respectively is 1.9 ng/L ~ 20.44 ng/L, 0,0.46 ng/L ~ 1.74 ng/L, 0.1 ~ 10.16 ng/L 9 ng/L. Fungicide, insecticide, DEET diethyltoluamide, metalaxyl, pirimicarb, tebuconazple detection is higher levels of pirimicarb, e listed and the concentration range respectively is 4.70 ng/L ~ 45.04 ng/L and 19.37 ng/L ~ 27.75 ng/L.3. The spearman correlation analysis of water quality shows that Atrazine were significant positive correlation(p < 0.01) with total nitrogen, total phosphorus, has significant positivecorrelation(p < 0.05) with temperature, and shows no significant correlation with ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, pH and DO.The e listed is significant positive correlation(p < 0.01) with ammonia nitrogen. Pirimicarb shows significant positive correlation with total nitrogen, total phosphorus. The prometryn has no significant correlation with traditional pollutants.4. The types of pollutants are different in different land use area of Gao Bu river after rain washes out. The monitoring results from the rain runoff show that the main emerging contaminants are caffeine, pirimicarb, b itch kratos, e listed substances in different land use area, such as traffic area, residential area, industrial, and agricultural area.5. We calculated traditional pollutants emissions index. The result shows that the annual emissions of CODcr, NH3- N, NO3-n, TN and TP is 0.62 t/a ~ 0.94 t/a, 0.05 t/a ~ 0.15 t/a, 0.06 t/a ~ 0.09 t/a, 022 t/a ~ 0.26 t/a, 0.01 t/a ~ 0.02 t/a in order. The annual emissions of e listed range of merging atrazine, deet, ethoxy sinensis, isopropyl lung, a frost spirit, isopropyl grass amine, pirimicarb prometryn, simazine, is respectively 0.01 kg/a ~ 0.20 kg/a, 0.14 kg/a ~ 0.21 kg/a, 0.23 kg/a ~ 0.31 kg/a, 0,0.01 kg/a, 0.02 kg/a ~ 0.03 kg/a, 0.26 kg/a ~ 0.52 kg/a, 0.01 kg/a ~ 0.15 kg/a, 0.01 kg/a ~ 0.03 kg/a, 0.16 kg/a ~ 0.57 kg/a.Based on the above research, this paper suggested the emerging contaminants like pesticides must be highly concerned while treating traditional pollutants in the process of comprehensive remediation of water environment in the DongJiang river basin. In view of the high correlation between emerging contaminants and traditional pollutants, some measures could be taken to remove both at the same time to obtain better water quality for the DongJiang river.
