The silica surface modification can not only improve their dispersion among the rubber, and may form filler-matrix network structure, thus the rubber matrix has some reinforcing effect, extend the life of rubber products. With the subject cationic surfactants 1831 of silica surface modification, prepared the copolymer of silica and polystyrene-butadiene with high dispersion by in-situ,solve the uneven dispersion and interface compatibility issues,It can provide new ideas and methods for the study of silica-SBR composites preparation, and investigated materials processing properties, mechanical properties, dynamic properties and wear resistance, the specific contents are as follows:1? The silica is modified by the cationic surfactant 1831 and prepared silica-SBR composites by in situ emulsion polymerized,in this way it can solves dispersion mention for silica. Adding to the reaction system AO1805 can improve the polymerization reaction rate.2?To1H NMR and 13C NMR tests found that:gum prepared in-situ silica-styrene butadiene rubber, butadiene content of cis-1,4 and trans-1,4 structure and a vinyl content did not change,in which the bound styrene content of between 21.5% to 23.5%,butadiene cis-1,4 structure content between 10% to 12%,trans-1,4 structure content between 73% to 75%,the vinyl content of about 15%.3?To TEM,it can be found that, compared with the traditional mechanical mixing method,Mixture of silica and polystyrene-butadiene in emulsion polymerization with in-situ method,in which the silica dispersion and interface compatibility has been greatly improved.4?The processing performance and mechanical performance test indicate that the Mooney, elongation at break and resilience of silica-styrene butadiene rubber composites preparated by the in-situ preparation are higher than the composites preparated by traditional mechanical blending preparation, however, shaw hardness and permanent deformation rate is lower.5?It can draw the following conclusions through the DMA and wear test:At 0?,Tan8 is 0.3036,compared with the traditional mechanical blending method Tan? is 0.2084, the wet resistance increased by 45.68%.And when at 60?,Tan8 is 0.345,Compared with the blending, the rolling resistance was reduced by 42.7%. In the abrasion resistance test,The volume of the amount of wear is 12.18% by in-situ method to prepare silica-SBR. However,is 14.62% by blending method to prepare silica-SBR. Thus, both the rolling resistance and wet resistance or wear resistance properties of the composite silica-SBR prepared,in-situ Method is better than mixing method.
