With the development of national economy and the advancement of industrialization,in order to adapt to various complicated working conditions,all kinds of engineering fields have put forward higher requirements for the the lubricating ability of mechanical parts.Metal matrix solid composite material has received a widespread attention because of its unique lubrication performance,and become an important research direction in the lubrication field.So far,the commonly used non-metallic solid lubricant of the metal matrix composite materials have a great difference with physical and chemical properties of the metallic matrix,the improvement of its wettability and the effective control of interfacial reaction are the essential problems of this kind of material.The new metal matrix solid lubricating materials with great interfacial adhesion of the development and research and self lubricating performance posses a significance in enriching varieties of self-lubricating material and in meeting the application requirements of the industrial engineering field.This paper pure aluminum and aluminum silicon alloy as matrix,use typical MAX phase Ti3SiC2 which has both metal and ceramic character.The wettability of Ti3SiC2 with metal is good.Adopt the method cold pressing molding-pressureless sintering to preparation Ti3SiC2/Al composite.To study the preparation process,matrix composition,and particle concentration impact on performance of composite,though physical property,mechanical property and tribological performance test.Silicon addition is mainly studied on the influence of high temperature and long insulation composite interface reaction.Then study the preparation process,matrix composition,and particle concentration impact on tribological performance.The main research work and results are as follows:?1?Adopt the method of cold pressing molding-pressureless sintering,revealed preparation process,matrix composition,and particle concentration impact on Ti3SiC2/Al composite: the density decreased and hardness increased while the silicon content and Ti3SiC2 content rised;the density increased and hardness decreased while Sintering temperature rised.?2?Adopt the method of cold pressing molding-pressureless sintering,respectively studied process condition of 750 ?,850 ? and 950 ? heat preservation for 15 h,impact of silicon content on Ti3SiC2/Al composite interface reaction.Got the interface reaction equations of different silicon content of Ti3SiC2/Al composite.As a result of silicon content ofTi3SiC2/Al composite rised,the morphology of Ti3SiC2 changed from long plate strip ?board strips?ball.?3?Revealed regular of preparation process,matrix composition,and particle concentration impact on tribological performance of pressureless sintering Ti3SiC2/Al composite though friction coefficient and wear weight loss test.Revealed friction and wear mechanism of Ti3SiC2/Al composite in atmospheric environment and room temperature.
