Hair dyes is one of the most common type of hair care products.Oxidation hair dyes have advantages of good dying effect, long maintaining time and wide range of its colours. Most oxidation dyes are aromatic amine compounds with varying degrees of teratogenicity, sensitization and carcinogenicity, and even cause chronic damage to human body after long time and high frequency use.Dye composition effects on human health is more and more attention by the researchers at home and abroad,so it is imperative to strengthen and improve the detection means of hair dye.Thin layer chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, high performance liquid chromatography, ion chromatography, gas chromatography, voltammetry, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, and high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry are mainly reported dye detection methods in literatures. But a single system detect dye almost stay in several to dozens of,can’t effectively meet the needs of the hair dye regulation. This paper selected 32 banned and restricted components that issued by China Food and Drug Administration and some dyes on the market are still without detection method as the research object.A high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(HPLC-MS/MS)method and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS/MS)are proposed for simultaneous determination of various banned and restricted components in hair dyes. The methods are simple and specific with great repeatability and durability.HPLC/MS/MS and GC-MS/MS method can form a complementary detection method and are suitable for the analysis of various hair dyes. The main contents are as follows:1 、 A high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(HPLC-MS/MS)method was proposed for simultaneous determination of 33 banned and restricted components in hair dyes. After extracted by methanol-water solutionpurified by n-hexane,the samples were analyzed by HPLC-MS/MS.The separation was performed on a Agilent ZORBAX Extend C18 column(2.1mm*100mm,1.8μm)with gradient elution of 5mmol/L ammonium acetate and acetonitrile. The electrospray ionization source in positive and negative ion mode was used for analysis of the 33 components in the MRM mode. The results showed good linear relationships with all correlation coefficients were more than 0.99.The limits of detection for the 33 components were in the range of 0.01-29.5mg/kg.The average recoveries of the 33 components were in the spiked samples in the range of71.4%-115.1%.The stability of the mixed standard solution within 32 h was good, the relative standard deviation was less than 10%.2 、 Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS/MS)method was proposed for simultaneous determination of 40 banned and restricted components in hair dyes. After extracted by methanol-water solution, purified by n-hexane,the samples were analyzed by GC-MS/MS.The separation was performed on a Agilent VF-624 ms column(0.25mm*30m,1.4μm)with temperature program. The 40 components are analyzed in the MRM mode. The results showed good linear relationships with all correlation coefficients were more than 0.99.The limits of detection for the 40 components were in the range of 4.4-10.7mg/kg.The average recoveries of the 40 components were in the spiked samples in the range of71.5%-118.6%.Samples were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, the date of relative standard deviation was within5%.
