Research On The Application Of Chinese Zen-Tea Element In The Design Of Chafu

The paper is aimed to clarify the relationship between Chinese Zen-Tea element and the design of Chafu,i.e.how the Chinese Zen-Tea element has guided the practice of Chafu design.The heating-up of Zen-Tea cultural trend indicates people’s yearning for a leisurely and casual life style;meanwhile,Zen-Tea culture is a kind of spiritual food which warms human nature and relieves emotional tension.The paper firstly elaborates on the relationship between Zen and tea from the viewpoint of historical development and ideological content,and then defines the Chinese Zen-Tea element and probes into the relationship between Zen-Tea culture and ecological design view.In addition,the paper investigates how the Zen-Tea element has guided the design expression of Chafu and affected the design thinking from the ecological perspective.Secondly,the paper analyzes the specific application of Zen-Tea element in the design of Chafu;for example,the broadness and easiness in contour reflect the connotation of Zen-Tea culture in a better way: in structure,it’s designed on the basis of improving the shape of Chinese traditional clothes,which looks simpler and neater;in material,the plain,environment-friendly,comfortable,moisture-absorbing and breathable materials such as cotton and linen,etc.are frequently used to convey a life state of leisureliness,comfort and tranquility.In color,Chafu is elegant and tasteful,complementing to the simple and antique materials;in process details,it explores and carries forward the traditional clothing process,combining it with modern process and means,etc.Through delving into the above clothing elements,the attempt is made to design the clothes which are suitable for tea drinking and the everyday wear which complies with people’s pursuit for recovering the simple and coming to the nature.Finally,the future development of Chafu is explored in accordance with the practice in Chafu design and the analysis of similar clothes brands.Clothes are mass consumer products oriented to the broadest mass consuming market.The decision maker shall delve into the theories on the clothing market and the development clothes brands in order to confirm the brand style and development plan.As a newly emerging clothes type,Chafu keeps up with the national policies and market trend.It can carry the traditional culture and is a clothing culture type which may be promoted worldwide in the future.
