With the development of bamboo processing industry in China,the manufacturing technology of Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber is continually being improved and the mechanical properties of Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber are superior to that of wood,Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber has become an ideal material for outdoor furniture.This study is based on the characteristics of Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber used in outdoor and the analysis of Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber used in the outdoor case,testing the bamboo as the experimental materials,focusing on the basic mechanical properties of materials and the characteristics of bolted joints.Through test and analysis of bolt bending strength,basic mechanical characteristics,dowel bearing strength,bolted connection strength of Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber and the bending strength of bolt,observing the failure form of bolted joint,exploring the mechanism of its destruction,using the related theory to establish the forecast model.The main conclusions of the study are as follows :1.Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber is widely used in outdoor furniture,wall panels and floor,its practical application proved that it has good weather resistance,dimensional stability and corrosion resistance.As a work of art in the public space outdoor,the outdoor furniture made of Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber not only reflects its practicality,but also has a certain appreciation.2.The absolute dry density of Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber is about 1.09 g / cm 3.In the direction of parallel to the grain orientation,when the shear plane is parallel to the hot pressing direction,shear strength is 11.04 MPa,when the shear plane is perpendicular to the hot pressing direction,shear strength is 13.91 MPa.According to the mechanical test dates,show that the density of the material is uniform,the mechanical properties are stable,Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber is a kind of good furniture material.For the dowel bearing strength,there is a large difference in the direction of parallel to the grain orientation and perpendicular to the grain orientation,is 142 MPa and 179 MPa.In the direction of parallel to the grain orientation,the yield segment of material is relatively shorter.In the direction of perpendicular to the grain orientation,the curves show the material has a certain ductility.3.In the experiment of bolt connection performance of Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber,designing of 2 different end distance with 6 different edge distance,6 different end distance with 2 different edge distance in the direction of parallel to the grain orientation and perpendicular to the grain orientation.The experiment results show that the ultimate load increases with the increase of the end distance/edge distance.In the direction of perpendicular to the grain orientation,when the end distance is less than 5 D,the main materials are shearing.When the end distance is more than 5 D,material reaches the plastic deformation stage,the main materials are only bearing failure.Within the designed range,the materials show tensile failure.4.In order to provide a better reference for the structure design of the outdoor bamboo furniture,combined with the two types of failure mode of single bolt connection test,analyzed of the performance of the single bolt connection of the Strand Woven Bamboo Lumber between,established a mechanical model in the direction of parallel grain to predict the bearing capacity.
