Prebaked anode is one of the main materials in aluminum industry. The anode quality directly affects anode consumption, and energy efficiency, etc. Prebaked anode's quality depends largely on baking process. The fire path's structure and operating parameters of the baking furnace would have a major impact on the anode quality. Therefore, it is great significance for numerical simulation and optimization of anode baking furnace based on orthogonal experiment.According to the design requirement, we designed an anode baking furnace's fire path, which has 54 sections and its annual output is 40,000 t. Based on the fire path, the temperature fields were simulated using FLUENT packages. It was found that the temperature distribution in the fire path was uneven and the average temperature was a little low. In order to improve the average temperature and the temperature uniformity, three schemes for fire path structures were put forward, then the simulation results were analyzed to achieve better fire path structure. To get the optimal conditions, using the orthogonal experiment method, an orthogonal table was established to deal with air preheating temperature, air consumption coefficient and fuel ratio between two burners. Find: With the increasing air preheated temperature or the ratio between two burners, the average temperature in the fire path would became higher. When air consumption coefficient is reduced, the average temperature would be lower. According to the analysis of extreme difference, the impact order on the average temperature is as follows: air preheated temperature, air consumption coefficient, fuel ratio between two burners. And we got a fitting formula taking air preheated temperature, air consumption coefficient and fuel ratio between two burners as independent variables, the average temperature in the fire path was considered as dependent variable.
