In open pit mining project,groundwater has been an important hidden threat of mining security.The groundwater main types in Monk Bridge Iron area is bedrock fissure water,the aquifer permeability is low,pit dewatering will cause a significant decline in groundwater levels,threatening the slope safety,easy to cause production safety accidents.In order to prevent groundwater accidents,develop effective groundwater dewatering and drainage scheme is necessary.Horizontal well technology in the oil and gas reservoirs more extensive,with the increase in demand for mining,horizontal well technology in low permeability reservoir exploitation has become more mature,but the theory of horizontal well technology research and engineering applications are still in its infancy in the field of hydrogeology.In this paper the feasibility of dewatering technology in low permeability fractured bedrock aquifers through the application of horizontal wells discussed.Dewatering and drainage engineering layout program which applying horizontal wells in the study area is completed,and predict the mine dewatering water inflow by numerical simulation software.This article describes the theory and application of engineering status of horizontal well technology research at home and abroad.In the reservoir area,horizontal well technology has been widely used.But theoretical research and engineering applications in hydrogeological field are still in the preliminary stages.By analyzing the application Status of horizontal wells in low permeability reservoirs,and to explore the possibility of horizontal wells in the application of groundwater dewatering and drainage engineering in Monk Bridge Opencast such low permeability fractured bedrock aquifer.This paper analyzes the geological and hydrogeological characteristics of Monk Bridge Mine,combined with field hydrogeological investigation,joints statistics,pumping tests and collection of rainfall data,using pit dewatering data and groundwater dynamics of long-term observations,establish monk Bridge mine groundwater flow model.By simulate the groundwater flow model of horizontal wells and vertical well,contrast the two Precipitation curves.The theoretical analysis show that horizontal wells has more advantages than the vertical well in the pit dewatering program.Then Programming using MATLAB software,analysis the impact of differences in the horizontal lengths and depths to precipitation curve,to lay the foundation for Monk Bridge Iron dewatering application with horizontal wells.Finally,based on the Monk Bridge Iron groundwater flow model,reference the mining plan of monk bridge iron,the engineering layout design about the dewatering program is given.Borrowed GMS software,according to the design,simulate the dewatering of horizontal wells in monk bridge iron,and provide reference for monk bridge iron dewatering program in the future.
