As Yulin kennel coal and Venezuela 300 fuel oil were the raw material in this thesis.First the viscosity-temperature characteristics and the stability of coal-oil slurry under normal pressure and low temperature conditions were investigated.Second coal swelling and thermally dissolving on coal-oil slurry viscosity were discussed, and the reason for the changes of viscosity was preliminarly revealed. The method of impregnation on coal was used to preparing catalyst, then the effect of different catalysts on the hydrogenation of coal-oil coprocessing were studied. The coal-oil slurry viscosity decreased with increasing temperature under the normal pressure and low temperature conditions, and it increased with inceasing coal consistence and inceasing coal partical. The stablity of coal-oil slurry inceased with increasing coal consistence or decreasing coal partical. There was an appropriate ratio between large and small coal partical which makes the minimum viscosity and best stability for the coal-oil slurry at same consistence. And the value of the ratio is related to the diameter ratio of two coal partical. As the coal consistence was 40%,coal-oil slurry simultaneously reached the minimum viscosity and the best stability when the coal partical ratiao between 40:60 and 50:50.The coal-oil slurry viscosity increased with the extension of swelling time. The viscosity was stable when it reached swelling balance. The increased speed of the viscosity was faster with the appropriate coal consistence of 25% than other consistence. And the speed was faster with the small coal partical than the large partical. The viscosity increased with increasing temperature. After thermally dissolving, the coal-oil slurry viscosity increased with the increasing thermally dissolving tempereture first, then the viscosity decreased after it reachedthe maximum on 300?.The coal-oil slurry viscosity reached 6120mPa·s at 30? after 300?thermally dissolving. It was much large than 2420mPa·s of untreated coal-oil slurry.By the FTIR spectra of extracted residue found that the peaks of founctional group were the weakest on 300?.The main reason of the increased viscosity was that high viscosity of intermediate products were dissoluted from coal.It is found that the liquefication capability was improved abviously after the catalysts were addede in the coal-oil coprocessing.Compared the effect of different catalysts.By treatment the non-vulcanized Fe2+ catalyst was better.Vulcanized catalyst was better than non-vulcanized catalyst whether Fe2+or Fe3+.Vulcanized Fe2+catalyst was better than Vulcanized Fe3+.Ni2+ catalyst was better than Fe2+ catalyst whether Vulcanized or not.And the improvement degree of non-vulcanized catalyst was bigger.
