In this dissertation, we investigated the facile and green syntheses of ordered silver nanofilm on brass electrode, buds-like Pd nanoparticles with concave and convex surface,Pd/RGO hybrid nanomaterials and Au@Pd core-shell nanoparticals with average diameter of10 nm. The morphology, structure and composition of the prepared noble metal nanomaterials and their nanocomposite materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy.Furthermore, the prepared nanomaterials were applied in the fields such as catalysis for4-nitrophenol organic catalytic reaction, electrocatalysis for fuel cells and hydrogen peroxide sensors. Results showed that the noble metal nanomaterials and their nanocomposite materials exhibit greatly enhanced catalytic activities and stabilities which should be the contribution of the enlarged surface area made by the novel morphology and the increased conductivity arising from the introduction of graphene.
