With the rapid development of China economy, the life quality of people is also getting higher and higher, and the demand for resources is also increasing, while the energy storage in our country mainly to coal, which determines China rely on coal resources in long time. Coal promote the development of economy, and become the main pollution resource simultaneously, because the usage technology did not mature, so we pay more attention to the efficient and clean technology of coal usage. Such as the development of IGCC technology. Coal gasification was the basic of coal efficient and clean utilization. In the process of coal gasification, which produce a large amount sulfide gases, it will make corrosion of chemical equipment and pipeline. Besides, it will cause environmental pollution and harm to human health for direct emissions, so the removal of sulfide is key to the clean utilization of coal. High temperature coal gas desulfurization can use the heat of gas and cheap, and can recycle the sulfur resource in the desulfurization process, it has become a potential technology.In order to reduce the cost of desulfurization, the regeneration of desulfurization sorbent was an important process.This paper study the regeneration behavior of cerium oxide high temperature coal gas desulfurization sorbent in a fixed bed reactor. Study the effects of reaction temperature and gas concentration on the influence of cerium oxide sorbent regeneration performance under O2, SO2 and O2-SO2 atmosphere respectively. Fitting the kinetic data of regeneration reaction use gas-solid non-catalysis reaction dynamic model.The regeneration of cerium oxide desulfurization sorbent under O2 atmosphere, the regeneration temperature was 500-800?, the O2 concentration was 1-5% O2, the regeneration reaction products mainly were cerium oxide, sulfur dioxide and a small amount of elemental sulfur. The regeneration of cerium oxide sorbent under O2 atmosphere can better expressed by equivalent particle model. The kinetic equation of the regeneration reaction can be obtained.The SO2 concentration was 1.06-5.65%, the temperature was 550-800?, the regeneration products were cerium oxide and elemental sulfur, and not sulfate produce. The regeneration of cerium oxide sorbent under SO2 atmosphere can better expressed by equivalent particle model. The kinetic equation of the regeneration reaction can be obtained.In the fixed bed reactor, the reaction rate of Ce2O2S and O2 is faster than with SO2, the ratio of O2 and SO2 under the mixed atmosphere is 1:1.25. The controlling process of regeneration reaction was change from the chemical reaction control to the diffusion control in the whole regeneration process under SO2-O2 atmosphere. The regeneration reaction kinetic equation of cerium oxide containing O2-SO2 collaborative atmosphere can be obtained.
