With the development of the aerospace industry, the using ratio of difficult-to-machine material is becoming bigger, which makes the electrochemical machining technology be used widely. Moveable cathode mask electrochemical machining, as one way of ECM, is distinctly superior in machining sheet with multi-holes. The pure molybdenum and molybdenum alloy materials are widely used in the metal sheet with multiple holes owing to their excellent performance.With the help of established theories and moveable cathode mask ECM process, the special fixture and cathode mask have been modified, according to the configuration mode of multiple holes of molybdenum aperture plate. The electrochemical measurement methods are used to study the dissolution properties of molybdenum, and then confirm the voltage parameter. Through a series of test analysis, the current paper investigates the effects of electrolyte parameters and electrical parameters on processing quality, and then optimizes a set of optimal parameters. The optimal parameters are applied in experiments of moveable cathode mask ECM on molybdenum aperture plate. The research content mainly includes several aspects:1. The design of the location holes of special fixture and the configuration mode of rubbercylinder in the flow passage of fixture based on the configuration mode of multiple holes ofmolybdenum aperture plate.2. The location holes and the configuration mode of multiple holes of the cathode mask aredesigned and manufactured.3. The polarization curve and the ??-i curve of molybdenum is obtained to analyze dissolvingproperties.4. A series of experiments have been conducted on machining voltage, power pulse frequencyand duty ratio, electrolyte temperature and electrolyte pressure with the help of special fixtureof ECM. Through the two evaluation criteria, which including hole taper and uniformity, tochoose a set of parameters of the best processing quality.
