The characters of Fukang mining area is low~medium coal~bed gas content, rich gas resources, most low rank coal. With gradually increasing in the strength of coal exploitation in Xinjiang, the safety of Xinjiang coal mine production has become a hot spot in the world of mine safety area. For a long time, stucy on the exploration and development is mostly focused on medium-high, but rare in low rank coal. It is necessary to have an in-depth study on pore structure, gas desorption characteristics and its connections of low rank coal in Fukang.A large number of experiments are carried out to analysis micro-structure characteristic. The experiment of maceral analysis conclude that vitrinite content in low rank coal is the main maceral. The experiment of scanning electron microscope conclude that coal body structure of low rank coal is loose with all kinds of porosity and better connectivity. The experiment of the liquid nitrogen adsorpition(pore specific surface area) and mercury injection(pore characteristic) conclude that the pore which is mainly made up of tightness of oneside closed hole composed of small pore and mesopore, keyhole constitute the mainly adsorption area.The isothermal adsorption experiment under different condition of pressure, temperature, paticle size, to analysis laws of desorption and mathematical model of low rank coal. Adsorption capacity of low rank coal is weak. Weibull function is a fitting function to describe desorption characteritics of low rank coal. Derivation is carried out based on Weibull function that the desorption rate which reduce with the increase of temperature has nothing to do with other factors but the adsorption heat. Coal sample porosity of gas desorption function mainly has two factors: each type of pore ratio, pore morphology types. Experimental research on pore structure and desorption characteristics can provide theoretical basis for Xinjiang Fukang mine gas efficient extraction in complex conditions.
