Landfill leachate poses great threat to the environment and the human body, stringent emission standards makes the RO membrane process as the main technology for discharging standard. However, the membrane fouling problem occurred from the complexity of landfill leachate, and improved the leachate treatment by frequent downtime repair and chemical cleaning, which limited the application of RO membrane. Now, reverse osmosis membrane on leachate pollution research in the field of membrane cleaning. At present, a lot of membrane fouling mechanism was given priority to with the solid phase membrane fouling, and did not delve into the liquid phase leachate from the microscopic view of the influence of membrane fouling, nor would the two contrast methods analyze mechanism of membrane fouling. And studies showed that the difference of water quality between incinerators and landfill leachate, which might caused the difference of their fouling mechanism of RO membrane treatment. Therefore, fouling mechanism was discussed from the microscopic view to control and reduce membrane fouling, and provided the reference for the popularization and application of RO membrane, and the research had important theoretical significance and application value. The fouling, influent, effluent and concentrate water samples were sampled in the typical incinerators and landfills, membrane fouling and the main pollutants of it were discussed in cleaning cycle dynamic change rule; Rerearch studied the inorganic and organic compounds of membrane fouling which based on the analysis of elements and the functional groups of it. And the potential of fouling formation was studied through the analysis of the species and concentration of ion in leachate. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) The main pollutant of incinerators and landfills fouling were small molecule UV fulvic acid and visible fulvic acid.(2) The accumulation of COD, TOC, NH3-N, UV254 of fulvic acid fouling mainly occurred at the beginning of the system running, and the accumulation of fulvic acid also occurred at that time. With the operation of the system, the proportion of COD, TOC, NH3-N and UV254 of fulvic acid was falling.(3) The main functional groups of fouling in incinerators and landfill accorded to aromatic compounds and polysaccharide's material characteristics, the main functional groups of inorganic components accorded to carbonate, SiO2 gel and Al(OH) 3 gel 's characteristics; The main functional groups of permanent fouling aromatic compounds, carboxylic acid and protein's characteristics, the main functional groups of inorganic components accorded to carbonate, SiO2 gel and Al(OH) 3 gel 's characteristics.(4) The inorganic fouling that leachate could formed in incinerators accorded to the BaCO3, CaCO3 and MgCO3 and Fe(OH) 3 material characteristics; The inorganic fouling that leachate could formed in landfill accorded to the BaSO4, CaCO3, CaSO4, MgCO3 and Fe(OH) 3 material characteristics;...
