The problem of vast production of waste tires is inevitable because of the prosperity of the automobile industry.In order to resolve this problem,so much reserchers have poured into so much energy,but the result is not satisfactory.So it is very urgent to seek new way to face the grim situation.There are many studies showing that the pyrolytic carbon made from waste tires can be used as adsorption to treat dye waste water.However,the adsorption performance is limited.In this subject,using Plasma activation and acrylic acid grafting to deal with pyrolytic carbon,making methylene blue as adsorption object,researching the adsorption performance of MGTPC.It is a new way for solid waste recycling,what is more,that can be a kind of guidance to improve the adsorption performance of pyrolytic carbon.There were three steps to change tire powder into MGTPC.First step: making tire powder to pyrolytic carbon.The second step: making pyrolytic carbon into activated pyrolytic carbon.The third step: making activated pyrolytic carbon to MGTPC.Each step had many influence factors need to be considered.Using Uniform Design V3.0 to polish the combination of factors.In order to make the most of adsorption performance of MGTPC,using single factor variable experimental method to study all the factors that can influence the adsorption performance of MGTPC,such as the dose of MGTPC,the initial MB concentration,the p H,the adsorption time and the adsorption temperature.The adsorption mechanism that can enhance the understanding for the nature of the MGTPC had been researched.Including the Surface functional group analysis by infrared and raman spectroscopy and surface morphology analysis by scanning electron microscope.Using the Langmuir adsorption isotherm to fit adsorption data,according to Van 't Hoff equation to research thermodynamic properties of adsorption,using Lagergren primary model and Mc Kay secondary model to study adsorption dynamics character.Using continuous flow tube reactor to study the experiments about the adsorption on methylene blue by MGTPC.Using the Thomas dynamic simulation model to fit experimental data.The experimental results show that the best APC can be obtained when pyrolytic heating rate is 40?/min with pyrolytic temperature of 800? and pyrolytic time of 1.5h.When the activated power is 60~70W with an activated time of 3min and activated pressure of 30~40pa,the best MTPC can be obtained.The best MGTPC can be obtained when the grafting rate is 10%~15%.For this sort of MGTPC,the optimal adsorption condition dosage is 2g/L while the initial concentration of methylene blue(MB)is 60mg/L,the p H ranges from 6~8 with the temperature at 20? and adsorption time at 2h.The adsorption result reveals that removal rate is 96.34%,and the adsorption capacity is 28.90 mg/g.Analyze the infrared spectrum of TPC?MTPC and MGTPC,the highest content of saturated C-H key appear on the surface of APC,while the least apper on the surface of MGTPC.There are C = C bond contractions on the surface of MTPC and MGTPC.The activation and grafting enhance the content of N-H key?C-N key and C-O key on the surface of PC.the –COOH has been grafted on the surface of PC by activation and grafting.The adsorption progress of pyrolytic carbon conformed to Langmuir adsorption model,the physical adsorption occupied the main position,the chemical adsorption was secondary,the reaction is exothermic,?H =-19.530 k J·mol-1,?S =-50.840 J·mol-1·K-1,R2=0.9508?The process of adsorption conformed to secondary dynamic model,the R2 = 0.99.Dynamic experiment results showed that when the adsorbent packed column height is 10 cm,adsorption liquid flow rate of 1 ml/min,the dynamic experiment holded the best effect.Thomas rate constant decreased with the increased of the height of the adsorption column,while it increased with the increase of fluid velocity.The q0 increased when the packed column height was reduced and the flow velocity was increased.From what has been discussed above,the adsorption performance of MGTPC much better than pyrolytic carbon.So it is feasible to make pyrolytic carbon into MGTPC to treat dye waste water.It is a way can combine solid waste recycling and environment protection.
