In water treatment,as the main factor in coagulation process,the flocculant has been widely concerned by researchers at home and abroad.In this paper,the flocculation mechanism of a series of titanium flocculant were investigated.The polytitanium chloride(PTC)was characterized by Ferron timed complexation spectrophotometry,and the improvement of Ferron reagent was studied in the experiment.At the same time,a new type of inorganic polymer composite flocculant polyaluminium germanium chloride(PAGC)was prepared,and its morphology,flocculation efficiency and flocculation mechanism were also studied.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Stable and efficient polytitanium chloride(PTC)was successfully prepared by using slow alkaline titration method.Ferron timed complexation spectrophotometry was utilized to identify various Ti species in PTC solution.When the basicity was about 1.5,the effective hydrolysis morphology of Tib could reach about 65%.(2)In order to explore the improvement of Ferron reagent,the Ferron improved reagent A and B were prepared by replacing the Tiron rengent with the Ferron reagent and 1,10-Phenanthroline monohydrate,respectively,and using for the morphological analysis of PAC and PTC.Results of the experiments showed that:Compared with the improved reagent A,the improved reagent B was more similar to the traditional Ferron reagent on PAC analysis,which could be used to analyze the content and the change of the various forms of polymeric aluminum.Similarly,the complexation reaction was good between improved reagent B and titanium,which could be more accurate and stable on analyzing the hydrolysis morphology of titanium.When the basicities were 1.0,1.5 and 2.0,the content of Tib was higher than others by the method of improved reagent B.(3)PTC,PTFC and PTSC with series of basicities were successfully prepared by using slow alkaline titration method.In case of humic acid samples treatment,the flocculation effect achieved the best when the basicities were all about 1.5,the p H value of water were 4~6,4~5 and 5~7,the dosage were 10mg/L,5mg/L and15mg/L,the water temperature were 20?,15? and 15?,respectively.In addition,the flocculation effect was influenced by inorganic ions in water.(4)The new composite flocculant PAGC with the basicity of 2.4 were successfully prepared by using slow alkaline titration method.The PAGC was purified by ethanol-dioxane precipitation method.It was concluded that the content of Alb reached 95.35% when the volume ratio of dioxane to ethanol was 5 and the dosage was 300 m L.(5)When the p H was 7.0~8.0,the dosage was 6mg/L and the temperature was 25?,the highest humic acid samples removal efficiency was obtained.The existence of Si O32-,PO43-,NO3-and Na+ inhibited the coagulation performance.Compared with PAC,it showed the coagulation effect of PAGC was better than that of PAC.
