With the continuous progress of science and technology, rapid development of surface modification technology, requirements of industrial sectors on the wear resistance performance of composite coatings are getting higher and higher.Tungsten carbide ceramic composite coatings are widely used in various industries because of excellent properties.In recent years,metal flexible powder cloth coating technology keep developing, especially can form a smooth, no cracks,high hardness coating on the irregular surface, popular used in the various industries.With spherical cast WC particles as hard phase?nickel-based alloy as the solder, this article makes the mixture of the WC powder and nickel-based solder with a organic connection material into a good flexible metal powder cloth by the rolling process.Using the vacuum brazing technology, the metal flexible powder cloth can form a WC/Ni wear resistant brazing coating on the metal surface.Nickel-based alloy solder flexible coating and five different WC content of WC/Ni flexible cloth composite coatings were prepared.Utlizing scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), microhardness meter, friction and wear testing machine, erosion test device to take a systematic investment on microstructure and properties of the composite coatings,nickel-based alloy flexible coating,substrate material.The results show that the distribution of WC particles in the WC/Ni composite coating is uniform, and the hardness of the coating increases with the increase of WC content. The friction and wear resistance of composite coatings are much better than the matrix material and nickel-based alloy coating;In front of the erosion, compared with the substrate and nickel-base alloy, erosion and wear resistance of composite coatings are worse, on the side of erosion, composite coatings are better;The highest WC content of WC/Ni composite coatings has best comprehensive performance.
