In recent years, combining the excellent appearance of silk with the good elastic recovery performance of spandex into silk/spandex fabric has stepped into the limelight. However, due to improper using, long time wearing, too many times of washing or other reasons, the elastic properties of silk/spandex fabric is decreased and its color is changed which can respectively effect the ‘size' and appearance of the fabric. Therefore, the research on recovery rate of silk/spandex elastic fabrics;recovery rate, detergent color and shrinkage effect on the elasticity is particularly necessary and urgent. This paper mainly discusses the repeated tension of silk/spandex elastic fabric, persistent effect of detergent on silk/spandex elastic fabric and persistent effect on shrinkage and whiteness. This paper is divided into three parts: The first part discusses the repeated tension of silk /spandex fabric elastic persistent effect,by selecting different elongation(referring to the actual range of human joint motion)repeated tensile tests(up to 600 times),to study the plastic deformation and elastic recovery; The second part discusses the detergent of silk / spandex fabric elastic persistent effect with 4 kinds of detergent,3 bath ratio and 5 times of washing, and uses hand-washing of the samples. Then the samples were experimented of different tensile and repeat elongation tests(up to 600 times).Use binary variance analysis method to study the impact of the types and washing-times detergent on the silk / spandex elastic fabric. The third part discusses the effect of detergent on shrinkage and whiteness of silk/spandex fabric. So as to provide a theoretical basis for the rational use of silk/spandex fabric.Research indicates on the follows:(1)There are three obvious stages of the elastic deformation and slow elastic deformation of the silk / spandex fabric during the stretching process: Hooke zone, yield zone and reinforcement zone. The plastic deformation increased dramatically when the elongation was more than 19%.When the elongation was less than 19%,repeated stretching produced plastic accumulation and increased.Polynomial regression analysis indicated that the fatigue performance and the number of the repeat tensile showed a quadratic relationship within 120 times specified elongation. However,it showed a third-degree polynomial regression between 240 and 600 timesrepeat tensile.(2)The degree of elastic damage to the silk / spandex fabric with four detergents:Weak acid detergent?Neutral2 detergent?Alkaline detergent?Neutral1 detergent.Weak acid detergent caused small loss on the silk / spandex fabric elastane, but with the increase of bath ratio the loss increases accordingly;Neutral2 detergent, with the increase of bath ratio, its elastic loss decreases. The effect of detergent on elastic recovery rate of fabrics is significant, and the bath ratio has little effect.(3)On the shrinkage of silk / spandex fabric: Neutral2 detergent?Weak acid detergent and Alkaline detergent and Neutral1 detergent. With different bath-ratio silk liquid detergent,washing20 times or less, the shrinkage tends to be the same with the increase in the number of times. With 25 times' washing, the impact of a small bath-ratio on the shrinkage is small.Silk/spandex fabric shrinkage mainly caused by the spandex.(4)Effects on the Whiteness of Ganz of silk / spandex fabric: Weak acid detergent?Neutral2detergent ? Alkaline detergent ? Neutral1 detergent.Since the Neutral1 detergent to the stain bleaching detergent effect is obvious,it isn't suitable for the washing of silk / spandex fabric. With the increase of the bath ratio, the effect of whiteness is reduced. The whiteness value reduces correspondingly under 20 times' washing or less, and tends to be gentle under 20 to 25times' washing.
