Forging as an important way of plastic processing,with products of high precision,better performance,higher machining efficiency,has been widely used in machinery manufacturing industry such as cars,planes,ships and other parts production.Along with the advance of science and technology and the continuous development of social economy,the mechanical manufacturing industry have more requirements for parts and components production,not only to improve production quality and production efficiency,and also to reduce the production cost,so we need to optimize the related parameters of forging process.Based on the analysis of the various kinds of optimization design method and theory,this paper use the response surface methodology to design and optimize the preform die shape.The optimization goal was given according to the actual needs of forging production,namely the forging shape accords with a requirement and flash minimum and forging microstructure uniformity of two optimization objectives,and the corresponding objective function was built respectively.Taking H-shaped forgings as an example,design the preform die shape,the straight line,arc and curve three kinds of shape are designed.And with angle in the straight line,the circular arc radius,curve of a turning point as the design variables are optimized.Experiments mainly by means of finite element numerical simulation technology,simulate the forging process of different shapes of preform die,to solve the objective function value according to simulate the experimental data obtained.With curve fitting of software for shape design variables and objective function value for curve fitting,the corresponding curve equation is obtained,and to solve the optimal solution,thus get the best preform die shape.By forging shape as the optimization goal,curved shape pre forging die after optimization has the minimal flash;By forging microstructure uniformity in the optimization goal,rectilinear pre forging die after optimization has the most uniform microstructure distribution.In this paper,the multi-objective optimization of forging forming process is put forward,a multi-objective optimization model is set up with both forging shape and microstructure uniformity as the optimization goal,with the method of linear weighted shape optimization objective function and microstructure optimization objective function was constituted as a general objective function.Compared with three pre forging die shape,rectilinear pre forging die has the minimum general objective function value,and the final forging can be full of cavity,the forging shape and microstructure integrated optimal performance.
