Magnesium and Magnesium alloys are widely used in all kinds of fields such as aerospace,aviation,automobile,electronics,communication and so on because of its excellent inherent properties.However,the hexagonal closed-packed structure of the magnesium alloys make they have poor plastic forming ability which limit their application in industry.As the difficult forming metal,the forming process of magnesium alloys is thermoforming in the industrial production.Electroplastic Effect(EPE)can significantly improve the forming performance of difficult forming material,so it was widely attention.EPE has also been applied to the performance of the plastic deformation of magnesium alloys,and the study found that EPE can significantly increase the plastic forming of magnesium alloy ability,besides improve the quality of the surface of magnesium alloy forming parts,which promotes the development of the forming technology of magnesium alloys.Electrically induced plasticity effect of joule heat effect and pure electric induced plasticity effect of joint action.In this study,in order to study the role of pulsed current in the bending process of magnesium alloy,the EPE was applied to the bending experiments of magnesium alloy.The main content of this paper is as follows:(1)In this paper,electropulse-assisted(EPA)V/U-bending was investigated.The mould includeV-bending die and U-bending die,which is convenience of electrical auxiliary experimental study of AZ3 1B magnesium alloy sheet forming.(2)Based on EPA V/U-bending experiments,through the response surface method and the single factor experiment,orthogonal experiment method to study the different process parameters during the EPA V/U-bending,the effects of the magnesium alloy sheet under different electric pulse parameter of forming force and the change rule of forming angle.(3)By controlling the current direction,we studied the influence of pulse current direction on the EPA V-bending of magnesium alloy.Besides we carry out the traditional hot bending tese of magnesium alloy,to study the forming process of pulse current impact on the microstructure of magnesium alloy sheet,to probe into the mechanism of electrically induced plasticity effect.
