Fruit pit carving is a kind of common miniature sculpture art works in Chinese folk,the pattern and text on the outer surface of the peach or olive carved by people,as a decoration or exorcised mascot wearing on body,which have been deeply people's affected.In recent years,with the improvement of people's living standard,the market is growing on the need of fruit pit carvings,the traditional manual sculpture method hasn't already satisfied the demand of the market,and the company began to develop all kinds of fruit pit carving machines automatically.But currently on the market of these fruit pit carving machines mostly adopt the traditional series CNC machining mechanism,and some complex 3D surfaces or inner oblique parts are difficult to machine,which affects quality and efficiency in the processing of fruit pit.So if fruit pit carving machine with a new type of structure is developed by people,it will have strong market competitiveness.The subject of this study is to design a king of special equipment based on parallel mechanism of fruit pit carving.The equipment consists of engraving pen drive parts,core clamping part and electrical control part and so on three parts.The driving part of the engraving pen draws on the 6PTRT structure in the parallel structure,using 6 bar linkage to drive the working platform to generate various degrees of freedom movement,controlling engraving pen of fruit pit carving;core clamping part adopts in the way of fixing the both ends of the fruit pit,and considering the various appearance of fruit pit,hence two sets of core special fixture are designed;electrical control part is by a computer through a special communication interface card to control each stepping motor driver to achieve a variety of mechanical action.In order to facilitate the design,calculation and selection of the main components,thus the integrated mechanical model is established by solid works,and ultimately determines the main function of each component of the system,including the design of the mechanical structure,engraving machine movement mode,electric spindle and the selection of tool chuck,etc.System adopts the space movement of engraving pen driven by parallel mechanism,the processing of complex 3D surfaces or inner oblique parts is particularly simple,its transmission chain is relatively short,stiffness is larger,weight is lighter,cutting efficiency is high,and swing is very flexible,compared to conventional series mechanism of fruit pit engraving machine,it is more suitable for the fruit pit carving with complex surface shape.The indentation on the surface of the fruit pit from two sets of special fixture is small,andclamping force is large,it can meet the requirements of fixed and rotating in the process of the fruit pit.
