Pinacol,which is a kind of important pesticide and pharmaceutical intermediates,is a a new kind of compound. There are almost two hundred kinds of Pinacol down-stream products,such as the domestic development of boric acid pinacol ester and phenyl boric acid pinacol ester, pyridine boric acid pinacol ester. Nearly two years as Europe and the United States and South Korea develop anticancer drugs and new pesticide raw materials. so Pinacol market prospects are very broad. Considering the existing synthetic methods of pinacol exist shortcomings,such as not easy industrialization, environmental pollution, and low synthetic yield,so it is necessary to make in-depth research and develop the environment friendly and low-cost synthesis process.In view of the molecular structure analysis of pinacol, this paper constructed the new method,which using tetramethyl ethylene, hydrogen as raw material, air as oxidant, hydrogen and oxygen in the air under certain conditions hydroxylation, then preparation pinacol and tetramethyl ethylene add to prepare Pinacol with tetramethyl ethylene.The studies have shown that the effect of Pd-Pt/H? as catalyst is ideal than the effect of Pd-Pt/ZSM-5 as catalyst.The reaction yield is up to 89% when the synthetic reaction responsed for 4 hours under the condition of 75? and 0.3 MPa. And through further improve dehydration process, substituting the direct distillation dehydration for the traditional benzene dehydration, the dehydration efficiency achieves the highest,the energy consumption is lowest and the product quality can reach 99.5% when the vacuum degree is 0.06 MPa,which reducing the pollution of the environment.
