Titanium alloys are widely used but poor cutting performance in aerospace and other fields.At present,in order to achieve these goals which are the machining of titanium alloy with the high efficiency and high quality,the breakthrough cutting tool technology and the limitation of cutting technology have been become the hot issues in the field of the forerunner cutting technique.In this paper,the hard alloy microtexture of ball-end milling cutter is used as the research object,the surface microtexture is introduced into the rake face of ball-end milling cutter.The finite element analysis model was established to analyze the influence of the micro-texture parameters on the tool strength.The laser micro-texturing technology of cemented carbide was systematically analyzed,and the experimental platform was built to study the effect of micro-texture parameters on cutting performance.In this paper,the cutting performance analysis of micro textured ball-end milling cutter and the optimization of micro-texture parameters provide the basic data for the efficient cutting and tool development of micro-texture tools.Firstly,the micro texture is designed on the cutting region of the rake face of the ball-end milling cutter.the structure strength has been given for micro-texture ballend milling cutter base on the finite element analysis.The influence of different types of micro texture parameters on the structural strength of ball-end milling insert is studied,which provides the basis for the subsequent milling simulation and optimization of micro texture parameters.Secondly,based on the test conditions of titanium alloy milling,the simulation experiment of micro-textured ball-end milling cutter with structural strength is carried out.The influence of different types of micro-texture parameters on the cutting performance of ball-end milling cutter is analyzed and discussed,and the micro texture parameters are optimized.And then,the milling experiments of micro-textured ball-end milling cutter which was fabricated by laser processing technology were carried out.And the effectof different micro-texture parameters on cutting force was obtained.The tool wear of different micro-textured ball-end milling cutters and no-textured ball-end milling cutters with cutting time is analyzed.The response characteristic curves of tool wear and cutting force,the response curves of tool wear and workpiece surface roughness are plotted.The micro-texture parameters optimized by simulation show that the machining performance of ball-end milling cutter is improved obviously.At the same time,the simulation results and experimental results show that the simulation results are accurate and reliable.Finally,based on the multi-objective decision theory,the improved AHP is used to evaluate the performance of ball-end milling cutter.According to the principle of minimum membership and the theory of fuzzy mathematics,the machinability of milling titanium alloy with micro textured ball end cutter was evaluated.
