With the development of science and technology,soft material has been widely employed in daily life and engineering fields.Soft material has gained attention and in-depth exploration by numerous researchers due to its unique properties such as giant deformation,multi-function,multi-physical field effects.Soft material has also played significant roles in engineering fields.As a kind of electric driven intelligent soft material,dielectric elastomer possesses advantages like large actuating deformation,light weight,fast response and low cost.It has various applications including artificial muscle,actuator,energy harvester,sensor and so on.Based on the dielectric elastomer,this paper investigates electrodes’ technique relating to it and designs some related functional devices.We first study the effect of a kind of transparent compliant electrode silver nanowires to the actuation of dielectric elastomer membrane.We measure and analyse its performance by experiments and finite element simulation.Second,we design and fabricate a kind of fiber-reinforced dielectric elastomer structure with integrated function of actuating and sensing.We also test its actuating and sensing performance by experiments and finite element simulation.Finally,we design a kind of biologic smart culture dish.We investigate the effect of its various actuating modes to the stretch,morphological variation and differentiation of cells.
